At the port of Palermo, the fast check-in procedure is active for all ferries to Salerno and Livorno: you will need to bring your ticket with you and show it to the Grimaldi staff directly at the boarding area, thus avoiding the queue at the ticket office.
Remember to show up at embarkation at least an hour before departure without a vehicle, two hours before departure with vehicle .
Ferry departures to Tunisia
For departures bound to Tunis: check-in will be done by our staff in the Maritime Station.
Remember to show up for boarding three hours before departure, with or without a vehicle.
Boarding operations end 60 minutes before departure.
In high season, queues should be taken into account. Once the aforementioned time limit has elapsed, you will not be entitled to boarding, even if you have a reservation.

– by the National Road Igoumenitsa – Preveza with code numberΕ55.
Coming from Athens follow the E94 and then change to the E55.

The road that crosses the «Lake of Tunis» (continuation of the Avenue Habib Bourguiba).
Once in La Goulette follow signposting « Gare Maritime ».

How to get to the port
BY CAR
Coming from the north: motorway A14 exit at the “ANCONA NORD” tollbooth (distance from the port about 15 km). At the exit, take the SS76 towards Ancona and follow the signs for the port-embarkation point. After about 8 km, take the “Torrette – Porto – Imbarchi” exit and continue until you reach the state road that runs alongside the sea and the railway. After 2 km take the “Porto” exit on your right and, at the end of the straight, you will find the Nuova Stazione Marittima or Ancona Ferries Terminal.
Coming from the south: Motorway A14 exit at “ANCONA SUD” (distance from the port about 12 km). At the exit go straight and at the roundabout which is located after about 400 meters, turn left and take the SS16 towards Ancona Centro. After 4 km take the “Ancona Centro” exit and continue on the 2-lane road for 5 km until its end. At the traffic lights go straight for 300 meters until the roundabout in front of the tunnel where you have to take the 3rd exit. Continue along Via Martiri della Resistenza for 1 km, go straight at the roundabout to take Via De Gasperi. At the traffic lights go straight on until you reach a roundabout where you can turn right. After 200 meters take the “Porto Exit” exit. After a short stretch of overpass, take the right exit and you will have reached Ancona Ferries Terminal.
BY TRAIN
From Ancona station take the direct bus n.12 (urban ticket on sale at the tobacconist’s inside the station) which reaches the check-in at the new Ancona Maritime Station. For more information on bus connections from Ancona station to Ancona port, consult the site of the local transport company “Conerobus”.
How to reach boarding from the check-in of the port of Ancona
ON FOOT
take the free shuttle bus n. 20 (one ride every 20-30 minutes approximately)
BY CAR
exit from the piazzale della Stazione Marittima, take the roundabout and take the fourth exit. Continue until you enter a roundabout with an anchor in the center. Take the first exit and pass the railway. Continue for 300 meters until you reach the security access gate.
