All passengers, including children and infants, must present themselves at the boarding gate with a valid and not expired ID document (ID card, passport).

If valid documents are missing, boarding will be refused.

Passenger names, ID and vehicle details on the ticket must match the passengers and their vehicles on departure. If not, please contact us prior to departure for any changes.

PERFECT TIMING FOR EMBARKATION
Calculate your presentation time at the port well.
To avoid races against time, present yourself for embarkation:
- In the case of domestic travel, 1 hour before departure without vehicle, 2 hours before with vehicle.
- In the case of trips from/to Spain and Greece, 2 hours before departure with or without vehicle.
- In the case of travel to/from Tunisia, 3 hours before departure with or without a vehicle.

All passengers who will board the Grimaldi Lines ferries, including children and babies , must have a valid ID when checking in at the port (identity card, passport), as well as the travel ticket.

In compliance with Security Regulations, the names of passengers, the data on the identity cards, the brand, the type and the number plate of the vehicles indicated on the ticket must necessarily correspond to the passengers and their departing vehicles. Otherwise, access to port and embarkation passes may be denied.

To proceed with booking a trip with an infant who does not yet have the document:

In the case of domestic travel, in the absence of identity document details, it is still possible to proceed with the booking. Once you have received your passport/ID card numbers, and in any case before departure, you will need to communicate them in order to include them in your reservation, by contacting our Call Centre or your trusted travel agency. Updating your document data is free of charge.
In the case of travel to Schengen States or to foreign non-Schengen countries, it is not possible to proceed with the booking in the absence of data relating to the identity document.

Citizens of an EU country, wishing to travel to Tunisia, must bring a valid passport; if you are travelling to Spain, Greece, Sardinia and Sicily, a valid identity card is enough.

UNDER 18 (0 – under 12 years old): must have a valid ID, as specified above for adult passengers.

Under no circumstances boarding will be allowed with a mere self-certification pursuant to Presidential Decree 445/2000.
Otherwise the boarding will be denied, with no entitlement to reimbursement of the ticket.

Before embarking, the passenger must ensure to be in possession of all necessary documentation to disembark at the port of destination. In this respect, the Sea Carrier may not be held liable for any disembarking denied by local authorities due to missing documentation required in order to enter the country of destination.
