In addition to the quality and efficiency of the services offered, the Grimaldi Group stands out for its strong focus on environmental issues, which in recent years has resulted in important investments aimed at reducing harmful emissions. The Neapolitan Group was in fact among the first shipping companies to choose to install, on board of its ships, scrubbers for the purification of exhaust gases and mega lithium batteries, capable of supplying ships during port stops, reaching so the goal of “zero emissions in port”. Furthermore, the Group is actively committed to supporting the implementation of the IMO’s new regulations on sulfur emissions, as a founding member of the Clean Shipping Alliance.

The Grimaldi Group was the first Italian shipping company to have obtained the quality certification ISO 9001 and the environmental certification ISO 14001.

The conformity with UNI EN ISO 9001:2008 regulations and the integration of the management system with the requirements of ISO 14001:2004, have further consolidated the systems adopted by the Group with regards to Quality and Environment.

The Environment and Quality Policy is the main document of the integrated system and is disseminated and pursued by all personnel.
