CIVITAVECCHIA – ARBATAX

You can buy a ticket:

  • through the websites of the major ferry web operators
  • through the Grimaldi Lines sales points in Naples and Rome

Whatever channel you choose, to make a reservation remember to keep the following information on hand for each passenger: name, surname, date of birth, document number and relative expiry date (for domestic routes, the valid document is not must be included in the booking) and make, model and license plate of any vehicle.

  • select the round-trip or one-way routes
  • choose the accommodation (making sure that the number of passengers corresponds to the number of seats; e.g. if you are 2 and you want the inside cabin, select AB2 and not AB4)
  • if  your pet travels with you and the pet cabins are finished, select a standard cabin and add the pet kit once you reach the on-board services screen
  • if you have a discount code, enter it in the appropriate box; if you are the holder of a membership card of one of our partner companies, select the partnership in the appropriate drop-down menu and then enter the card number
  • if you are a native or resident of Sardinia or Sicily, check the resident box
  • once all selections have been made, the lowest applicable price will appear (corresponding to the special rate) for each date just before or after the one you selected

The rates indicated are:

  • per person or vehicle per way, except for caravans, buses, trailers, full and empty commercial vehicles or other similar vehicles for which they are occupied per linear meter (fractions greater than or equal to 25 cm are rounded up to half a meter higher; less than 25 cm are rounded to the lower half meter);
  • all-inclusive of all additional accessory items, net of legal VAT and port dues to be paid to the competent authorities;

*By residents we mean EU or non-EU citizens residing in a municipality of the Sardinia or Sicily Region as well as employees born in Sardinia or Sicily and not resident there and their dependent family members, with suitable valid documentation shown at the booking or purchase time and access to the vessel.

** By “high season” we mean the periods: from 15/09/2021 to 30/09/2021, from 19/12/2021 to 06/01/2022.

The rest of the period must be considered “low season”.

For all ferries to and from Sardinia, departing from the ports of Civitavecchia and Arbatax, the fast check-in service is active in order to speed up boarding operations: the passenger must show the ticket to the Grimaldi staff directly at the boarding area, avoiding the line at the ticket office.

It is necessary be present at the ship boarding 90 minutes before departure, with or without vehicle. In high season, queues should be considered. To avoid delays, it is good to inquire correctly about boarding procedures for ferries.
