Election of the President and Regional Council of Calabria on Sunday, October 5 and Monday, October 6, 2025

By Decree No. 1 of the Vice President of the Calabria Region dated August 9, 2025, the elections for the President of the Regional Council and the Regional Council of Calabria were called for Sunday, October 5 and Monday, October 6, 2025. Voting will take place on Sunday, October 5, from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m., and on Monday, October 6, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., pursuant to Article 1, paragraph 1 of Legislative Decree No. 27 of March 19, 2025, converted with amendments by Law No. 72 of May 15, 2025, “Urgent provisions for the extension of voting operations for the 2025 elections and referendums and for their possible combination.”

In light of the above, Grimaldi Lines is offering a 60% discount on the standard fare on its territorial continuity lines.

The discount applies to the following connections:

– Civitavecchia – Cagliari and vice versa

– Civitavecchia – Arbatax and vice versa

– Naples – Cagliari and vice versa

– Palermo – Cagliari and vice versa

The discount applies to bookings and departures until October 7, 2025.

The discount cannot be combined with the RESIDENT fare. Customers are responsible for choosing their fare: either the standard fare with a 60% discount or the residents’ fare.

To benefit from the discounts, voters must present, for the outbound journey, a valid ID, their electoral card, or a declaration certifying that the discounted ticket was purchased to travel to their polling station in order to exercise their right to vote. For the return trip, please bring a valid ID and your electoral card with proof of voting.
