By-elections for the Chamber of Deputies in single-member constituencies 01-Rovigo and 02-Selvazzano
By Presidential Decree of January 13, 2026, published in the Official Journal – General Series – No. 10 of January 14, 2026, a popular referendum was called for Sunday, March 22, and Monday, March 23, 2026, to confirm the constitutional law containing: “Rules on the Judicial System and the Establishment of the Disciplinary Court.”
The aforementioned Decree has called for the by-elections for the Chamber of Deputies in the single-member constituencies of 01-Rovigo and 02-Selvazzano Dentro in the VIII Veneto 2 District to be held on the same days of Sunday, March 22, and Monday, March 23, 2026.
Voting will take place on Sunday from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m., and on Monday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
For this occasion, Grimaldi Lines is applying a 60% discount on discounted rates (vessel passengers, accommodation, vehicle, and pets) exclusively on the following maritime connections:
- Civitavecchia – Cagliari – Arbatax and vice versa
- Naples – Cagliari – Palermo and vice versa
As per instructions received from the Ministry:
- The discount applies to bookings and departures until March 25, 2026.
- The discount cannot be combined with the RESIDENTS rate; the rate chosen is Customers must choose between the regular ticket with a 60% discount or the residents’ ticket.
To take advantage of the discounts, voters must present, for the outward journey, a valid ID, their voter card, or a substitute declaration certifying that the discounted ticket was purchased to travel to their registered polling station in order to exercise their right to vote. For the return journey, they must present, along with a valid ID and their voter card certifying that they voted.
