Special Elections in Municipalities of Ordinary Statute Regions

By decree of the Minister of the Interior of September 23, 2025, the extraordinary elections in municipalities of ordinary statute regions dissolved due to mafia-type infiltration and influence, pursuant to Article 143, paragraph 10, of Legislative Decree No. 267 of August 18, 2000, were set for Sunday, November 23, and Monday, November 24, 2025, with a possible runoff for the mayoral election on Sunday, December 7, and Monday, December 8, 2025.

In light of the above, Grimaldi Lines will apply a 60% discount on the standard fare for territorial continuity lines.

The discount applies to the following connections:

Civitavecchia – Cagliari and vice versa
Civitavecchia – Arbatax and vice versa
Naples – Cagliari and vice versa
Palermo – Cagliari and vice versa
The discount applies to bookings and departures until December 9, 2025.
The discount cannot be combined with the RESIDENT fare. Customers must choose between the standard fare with a 60% discount or the residents fare.
To benefit from the discounts, voters must present, for the outward journey, a valid ID, their electoral card, or a declaration certifying that the discounted ticket was purchased to travel to their registered polling station in order to exercise their right to vote. For the return journey, they must present, for the return journey, a valid ID and their electoral card with proof of voting.
