Travel discount – Municipality of Monteforte Irpino (AV). Elections of the mayor and the city council

By decree of June 18, 2026, the Prefect of Avellino convened the mayoral and city council elections in two sections on Sunday, August 9 and Monday, August 10, 2026, with a possible runoff on Sunday, August 23 and Monday, August 24, 2026. A runoff election for the mayoral election could possibly take place on Sunday, August 23, and Monday, August 24, 2026, in all 8 polling stations of the Municipality, in the event of a tie among the candidates who obtained the highest number of votes, following the aforementioned first round of elections. Voting will take place on Sunday, August 9th, from 7:00 am to 11:00 pm, and on Monday, August 10th, 2026, from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm.

We inform you that a discount was created in connection with the above-mentioned elections.

This discount provides a 60% reduction on discount fares (vessel passengers, accommodation, vehicle, and pets) exclusively on the following maritime connections:

•   Civitavecchia – Cagliari – Arbatax and vice versa
•     Napoli – Cagliari – Palermo and vice versa

As per instructions received from the Ministry:

• The discount applies to bookings and departures until 31/08/2026
• The discount CANNOT be combined with the RESIDENT rate; the choise of rate is made by the customer between the ordinary one with a 60% discount or the residents
• In order to take advantage of the discount, voters must show, for the outward journey, a valid ID, their electoral card, or a substitute declaration certifying that the discounted ticket was purchased to travel to their polling station in order to excercise their right to vote. For the return trip, please bring a valid ID and your electoral card with proof of voting.
