Direct election of the Mayors and Municipal Councils of the Municipalities of Sardinia on 7 and 8 June 2026, with a possible run-off on 21 and 22 June 2026
The President of the Autonomous Region of Sardinia, with Decree No. 26 of March 18, 2026, has set Sunday, June 7, and Monday, June 8, 2026, with a possible runoff scheduled for Sunday, June 21, and Monday, June 22, 2026, as the dates for the consultations for the direct election of the Mayors and Municipal Councils of the Municipalities of Sardinia that must renew their bodies in 2026. Attached is the list of municipalities involved pursuant to Resolution of the Regional Council of the Sardinia Region G.R. No. 12/2 of March 16, 2026.
We therefore inform you that a discount has been created for the above-mentioned elections.
This discount provides a 60% reduction on discounted rates (vessel passengers, accommodation, vehicle, and pets) exclusively on the following maritime connections:
- Civitavecchia – Cagliari – Arbatax and vice versa
- Naples – Cagliari – Palermo and vice versa
As per instructions received from the Ministry:
- The discount applies to bookings and departures until 24/06/2026
- The discount cannot be combined with the RESIDENT rate. The customer is responsible for choosing the rate between the ordinary rate with a 60% discount or the residents rate
- To take advantage of these discounts, voters must present, for the outward journey, their voter card, or a declaration certifying that the discounted ticket was purchased for travel to their registered polling station, along with a valid ID, along with a valid ID. For the return journey, voters must present, along with a valid ID, their voter card, certifying that they have voted.
