Cancellation and variation policy
CANCELLATION  OF BOOKING BY THE PASSENGER (*)
Cancellations must be notified to the Carrier in writing or by the travel agency  that issued the ticket.
The following cancellation fees apply on the total amount of the ticket (passengers, vehicles, pets, other items)*:
Full  fare ticket:
·         10% penalty (plus fix dues) up to 30 days prior to sailing
·         30% penalty (plus fix dues) from 29  to 7 days prior to sailing
·         50% penalty (plus fix dues) from 6 to 2 days prior to sailing
·         100% penalty (plus fix dues), 1 day or less from departure and no  show
·         100 penalty (plus fix dues),  if two or more departure date modifications have been applied
*Meals on board and shuttle bus service:
- they are not refundable in case of 100% penalty or no show
- they are 100% refundable in all other cases
Special fare tickets are not refundable.
No refund is granted for missed embarkation due to refusal by authority or due to missing or insufficient personal documentation or vehicle documentation.
The tickets, which were made two changes of sailing date, are not refundable.
Tickets with special Agreement are refundable if they are Special Fare tickets, otherwise they will be not refunded.
MODIFICATION OF BOOKING  BY THE PASSENGER (*)
Tickets and Bookings can be modified at a cost of € 30,00 (modification fee), plus the difference in value between the new ticket and the original one.
Modifications must be requested in writing by the travel agency that issued the ticket, by Grimaldi Lines Offices or Port Offices.
The following modifications are possible:
Full Fare Tickets
Change of sailing date:  until 2 days prior to the journey (for later changes, the cancellation fees apply)
o    Modification fee + change of tariff season/accommodation apply
Up to two changes of the sailing date for each ticket are allowed.
Change of accommodation, until day of sailing
o    Modification fee doesn’t apply in case of Upgrade, but only the difference for the new accommodation
o    Modification fee applies only in case of Downgrade
Change of vehicle, until 2 days before departure by the issuing travel agent or Grimaldi Offices, or the day of departure by ticket office at the port (by paying modification fee)
o    Modification fee applies if the category of the vehicle changes
o    Modification fee doesn’t apply if only make, model or plate change, but the category of the vehicle remains  the same
Change of name, until 2 days before departure 
o    Modification fee doesn’t apply
Addition of passenger (adult/child/infant), until day of sailing
o    Modification fee + new passenger price + accommodation price (if requested) apply
Addition of vehicle, until day of sailing
o    Modification fee + new vehicle price apply
Addition of pet, until day of sailing
o    Modification fee + new pet price apply
Addition of meals on board
o    Modification fee doesn’t apply, but only the cost of additional service
Addition of shuttle bus service
o    Modification fee doesn’t apply, but only the cost of additional service
Modifications and additions are subject to availability.  

 
Special  Fare Tickets

Tickets with special fares could not be modifiable, if specified in the conditions of the special offers applied for them.

For all other cases, the following modification conditions apply:

Change of sailing date:  until 2 days prior to the journey (for later changes, the cancellation fees apply)

o    Modification fee + change of tariff season/accommodation + adjustment of the special fare applicable at booking time apply . Special fare is granted if the new departure date maintains its conditions of application
o    For A/R journeys with Return Fare (Greece, Morocco and Tunisia) modification fee + change of tariff season apply, but it is possible to modify the return date (up to 2 days before departure) also after the outward journey

o    Modification fee applies if the category of the vehicle changes

Change of accommodation, until day of sailing
o    Modification fee applies, but the special fare can be maintained if the new accommodation meets its condition of application. If not, it will be not applied. 
o    Modification fee doesn’t apply in case of Upgrade, but only the difference for the new accommodation
o    Modification fee applies only in case of Downgrade
Change of name, until 2 days before departure 
o   Modification fee doesn’t apply
o   For departures with special offers, the change of passenger category could cause the loss of the offer if the new passenger doesn’t meet its condition of application
Addition of vehicle, until day of sailing
o    Modification fee + new vehicle price apply , but special fare can be maintained if the ticket is a special fare ticket , and vehicle category and departure date meet its condition of application 
Addition of passenger (adult/child/infant), until day of sailing
o    Modification fee + new passenger price + accommodation price (if requested) apply
o    In case of SuperFamily&Friends tariff, the special fare is maintained if the ticket is already a special fare ticket
Addition of pet, until day of sailing
o          Modification fee + new pet price apply
Addition of meals on board
o    Modification fee doesn’t apply, but only the cost of additional service
Addition of shuttle bus service
o    Modification fee doesn’t apply, but only the cost of additional service
Modifications and additions are subject to availability.  
Morocco Lines (one way or return journeys)
Change of sailing date:  until day of sailing  (possible additional costs for tariff adjustment could be applied) 
Modification fee doesn’t apply in case of :
·         Change of departure date, for  requests received up to 1 day before departure
·         Change of accommodation , only for upgrades
·         Change of vehicle (belonging to the same category of the previous one) if the ticket is a Standard Fare ticket (with no special fares applied)
·         Change of name (for return journeys with return special fare only change name requests until 2 days before departure can be accepted)
Modification fee applies in case of :
·         Change of departure date,  for  requests received the day of departure
·         Change of accommodation , only for downgrades
·         Change of vehicle category
·         Addition of vehicle
·         Addition of pet
Modifications and additions are subject to availability.  
If you have a return ticket with discount, the same conditions described above will be applied.
In case of change of date of departure, it could be applied any costs for the tariff change.
In case of NO SHOW it is possible to change the date for the next departure, no later than the same day of departure previously booked by paying:
· A penalty of EUR 30.00 + any tariff adjustment
Passengers who renounce to the voyage will not receive any refund.
(*)The Carrier reserves the right to change the conditions for modification of bookings and for termination of contract by the passenger on specified departures.
