The ideal place for those who love the Arts and adhore its wonderful beaches and lush Nature but also for a lot of reasons more making it a unique destination. Whether you choose the seaside or the mountains, Madrid or Barcelona, Galicia rather than the Basque Country or Andalusia, occasions for entertainment and fun will not be lacking here as well as an excellent cuisine and a cultural heritage among the most relevant and credited in the world. Spain can be visited in any period of the year thanks to its mild weather increasingly attracting more and more tourists to its coasts and isles. Not to be missed are the Balearics embracing the popular Ibiza and Formentera but also Maiorca and Minorca: a true paradise for lovers of sea-bathing and night entertainment but also for those who are seeking a relaxing holiday. The isles are very well connected to one other as well as to the main ports of the peninsula such as Valencia and Barcelona.
Spain, however, is not only beaches and entertainment. Among its attractions, a mountainous territory stretching for 450 Kms from the Cantabrian Sea to the Mediterranean: The Pyrenees, a natural barrier lying in the Northern area of Catalonia, Aragon and Navarra featuring enchanting landscapes rich in evocative streams, woods and valleys to be enjoyed at full by practising a sport. Trekking, climbing, walking along tracks surrounded by green woods miles away from the everyday routine, horse-riding or mountain-biking are all activities which can be practised here.
Spain is also an excellent destination for religious tourism featuring pilgrimages to Santiago de Compostela, Holy Week celebrations , the El Rocío route, the popular San Firmino Fiesta taking place in Pamplona in July every year, guided tours to monasteries and main cathedrals.
For those who are fond of history and archaeology, the Iberian Peninsula is rich in Roman and Medieval ruins, to be found for ex. in the Tarragona town with its well preserved amphitheater, as well as in the National Museum of Roman Arts in Merida or the Alcazar Castle of Segovia.
Avant-garde architecture is mostly surprising and striking: the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao, the Reina Sofía and the Prado Museum in Madrid and the City of Arts and Science in Valencia are all assets internationally recognized.

Spain is a source of entertainment and emotions also for the fans of sport events organized in different periods of the year. For the ones who are keen about racing it is possible to attend Formula1 races in Barcelona and Valencia while moto-races are held in Jerez della Frontera. For those who prefer cycling it is possible to watch the Vuelta race, which is run for three weeks along a route which changes every year passing through the major cities of the Iberian peninsula. Not to be missed if you want to live an exciting experience is watching a live football match in the world-famous stadiums of Camp Nou in Barcelona and Santiago Bernabeu in Madrid.

Barcelona, the second largest city of Spain and capital of Catalonia, is a metropolis overlooking the sea with a rich cultural heritage. Your trip to the superb cosmopolitan capital of Catalonia will astonish you. You will walk through the magic Rambla, stop at the colourful market of Boqueria, visit the magnificent Sagrada Familia, the unfinished work of art by the Spanish Architect Antonio Gaudì.
